Gail. Wow, what great service my wife Kathleen had from Gail. Gail went above and beyond being a "sales person". Gail took excellent care of us. I don't know about all the other Birks stores (I'm sure they are wonderful, too), but, the Victoria store ( Gail) has won a lifelong customer.

Me and husband went into store Nov 30, 2019 looking to replace our wedding bands and we were completely ignored for at least 15 minutes. No eye contact or acknowledgement whatsoever. Went across the street to Lungaro jewelry store instead maybe they are willing to take our money.

this place has the worst service I have ever experienced in Victoria for a jewerlly store.
I took my watch to be repaired because the crown fell off. They phoned me for an estimate 2 weeks later of $130.00 and I said go ahead. It took almost a month later before it was ready. When I picked it up the cost was $580.00. I said no way that's not what you said. They replied too bad if you don't pay you don't get your watch back.
Ripped me off like those dishonest car repairs places. Can't trust them.

Had an issue with a return this week (due to one salesperson) and was quickly contacted by Gail --the very next day--and the complaint was dealt with with courtesy and promptness. I am so happy with the exchange which is a necklace I love and will wear for many years.

I recently took my pearl necklace into get appraised. To my astonishment I found out my "real cultured pearl necklace" that I was given by my late parents for a graduation gift way back in 1979 are "nothing but paste, good paste, but still paste" according to the appraiser. I know for a fact Birks sold these as "real cultured pearls". Birks is nothing but liars and a very dishonest company.
