My father has been in Beckley Farm since June, and throughout these past few months, I have been nothing but impressed by the quality of care here. I would go so far as to say that everyone who works at Beckley Farm embodies the very notion of care; they treat residents (both on the main floor and the memory care ward) with decency, respect and compassion. Further, they are very attentive to any medical issues, and extremely prompt in communicating any concerns. Also, I have actually been overwhelmed by just how much everyone here tries to accommodate individual residents; my father was initially in the lower level memory care facility, when he transferred from the Jubilee, but it wasn't a good fit, at all, because he is still quite cognitively aware. In fact, he'd become progressively more depressed, to the point of talking about self-harm, as he realised that he couldn't really converse with most of the residents on his floor. The staff were very aware of the situation, and made sure to bring him to the upper floor for activities as much as possible, in addition to spending time with him whenever they were able; they also wait-listed him for transferral to the upper floor, which occurred a few weeks ago. Unsurprisingly, since his move, my father has been MUCH happier.
Is Beckley Farm the most modern, state-of-the-art facility out there? No. However, it truly is NOT "run down" the way many commenters would have everyone believe, and, frankly, if the newness of things like fixtures bothers you, you REALLY need to re-evaluate your priorities when it comes to care.
Finally, several of the staff have worked here for over thirty years. You do not, in general, receive that level of employee retention if you are running something badly. Really, I think this says it all.

My mom was here for almost a year. It felt very impersonal. The care aides were friendly and really seemed to care. The nurse less so and the office worker at the main desk really unfriendly. As expected, the food wasn’t great and the place is very old looking, feels worn out. Tough for our relatives to need placement in a nursing home but it was a depressing experience for her final days.

The care staff at Beckley farm lodge are honeastly some of the best. Ive instructed many classes of future HCAs and the Beckley staff have been the most diligent in mentoring the atudents on their clinicals and practicums. Professional caring kind front end workers and management support is amazing. Always a pleasure to pop in to Beckley. The clients appear content and relaxed with great rapore wirh their care staff which is best compliment a residence can receive. Thank you Beckley ( Broadmead) for supporting student knowledge and training. I wouldnt hesitate to place my loved ones into your care.

Excellent, professional staff. Good staff culture and programs to animate the facility. Honest hard work; tangible results.

This place is a complete dump. Do not put your aging loved one here. Understaffed, low quality food, facilities are old and falling apart. Avoid if you can.
