These guys have bailed us out twice in the last several years, both times when our boat failed while crabbing at Fort Flagler. In both cases, they got us in on the same day we called and had our boat back to us to get us back on the water. Most recently, I took them some stove top oatmeal cookies as thanks. Hope they enjoyed them!

Our boat lost steering in Admiralty Inlet; we were rescued by Salish Rescue and towed to Boat Haven Marina. Gold Star sent Brian promptly at 9:15am the day after we called. Brian was extremely professional, efficient, and knowledgeable. They ordered parts, which showed up the following day, and were installed on our boat within a couple hours. He also fabricated an emergency tiller in case of future issues. Service was courteous and also empathetic about our situation.
(Sidenote: we originally called another service and had opposite results. Gold Star really is a step above.)

We've been using Gold Star Marine for the past several years for routine maintenance and special projects on our Cutwater 28 (D4 260 HP Volvo diesel). These folks are GREAT! Our projects are relatively small compared to some of things they have going on; however, that doesn't matter. we still receive great service and quality. Contact Caleb, Kaihla, Glenda, or Doug and they will point you in the right direction.

Just had a remarkable customer service experience with Gold Star Marine. Customer service representative, Kaihla, went above and beyond to answer my questions about maintenance on my Honda outboard motor. She was able to provide the assistance that 2 other Honda service shops couldn't or wouldn't. Will definitely tow my boat the extra miles to their shop because she went the extra mile for me.

Went out to inspect my boat and operate the motor for a pre-fishing check. I turned on the key and the starter just free-wheeled and would not engage the flywheel. I did not feel like messing with it and because the starter was the original one (1982 volvo motor) about 36 years old I figured it was used up. I called Gold Star Marine and they said to bring it in the next morning. They called me the next day and it was all done. I expected a repair bill, but it was very minor. They pulled the starter, cleaned it all up, reinstalled it, starter the motor and checked its operation. Couldn't have gotten better service.
