I’m writing this review years after the fact to commend Tammera and her staff for their amazing programming.
I had both my son and daughter in the program. As both are neurodiverse I was so pleased with the gentleness, and meeting them exactly where they were at and going from there. The patience, and time they took to get to know my kids, see them and identify their skills and build confidence was a gift.
I will forever remember the first time my hesitant son rode his first pony exclaiming “I’m a cowboy” with the biggest smile on his face.
I’ve witnessed the farm grow and develop over the last 5 years to a safe calming enriching environment to participants and visitors.
I highly recommend.

This program is one of a kind and Tam is a huge huge heart with so much patience and time for children and youth. She listens deeply and always takes time to respond to issues or concerns. I am regularly amazed that she opens her family home and heart to this process with some of the most challenging of behaviours and circumstances. I have witnessed first hand her work with struggling kids and ignite a confidence that has been elusive to their families, their teachers and even their counsellors. The only time I’ve seen her shy away from a challenge is for the sake of safety. I was surprised to see a negative review here at all, let alone from someone with a 3-year-old! That any program even attempted to make it work for someone that young shows how open HH is to giving everyone a chance at this amazing therapy.
You can’t be all things to all people and especially to people who can’t see beyond their own desires. If the child had been hurt, imagine the response. If I could give 100 gold stars I would.

My daughter goes to humble hooves and absolutely loves it. Tam and Jason are both exceptionally kind, and patient. Tam is great at reading the kids, and knowing there comfort with the animals. It’s amazing to watch my daughter grow with her knowledge and love of horses, thanks to Tam.

My daughter was kicked out of this program for not being neurotypical. It was very sad and traumatic for her. She still talks of it years later. The female owner has large opinions on kids she barely knows and it damaged my daughter from being 3 years old when it occured ,to almost 4 years later , still feeling upset over what things the female farm owner was quick to tell me what was "wrong" with my daugters .Utter waste of money and time. Broke my daughter's heart and confidence before even 4 years old . I would never spend a single cent here again, I will prevent my children from risk of exposure to this environment again at all costs.
And I waited years to write a review. This isn't out of anger. This is a mom who put their child in horse lessons for confidence and growth. Who instead watched her child's confidence get shattered as essentially a toddler and then get given the shaft for not fitting into societal norms. Save your kids the heart break, from one mom to another.

My daughter has been coming to humble hooves for several years now and has learned so many incredible life skills, including hard work, being brave, patience and maturity. She has learned to listen to horses and respect them and how to care for their needs both physically and mentally. It is a joyful and safe environment run by a remarkable woman.
