I have read a series of negative reviews for Out of The Mist Gallery , I suppose that since Thomas purchased everything in his store for a monitory price then he is entitled to resell them. I personally visited the store as a tourist and found the owner very knowledgeable, friendly and very hospitable after 2 visits I did purchase 2 items that were for sale and I purchased them at a agreed amount ,I am very very happy with what I Purchased and would buy again

They’re selling ancient, thousands-of-years-old artifacts from all over the world, including Canadian First Nations, for thousands of dollars to private collections.
Technically legal, I suppose, depending on how these artifacts are obtained, but sketchy and scummy as heck and morally bankrupt. Don’t give them money. DO report them for a possible violation of the Heritage Conservation Act.

The male store attendant voiced that indigenous women are lazy and should get jobs. He continued by saying something about getting things for free. These comments were after I asked how many buttons were on this blanket. My retort was that it was narrow minded and a unhelpful remark. This is when he actually hit me three or four times, shoved me so hard that grab him so not to go through the glass door.
Oh, yeah, I questioned him about the price tags. I thought it is a museum.
Horrible vibes.

Knowledgeable owner and a shop full of quality native art. General comments by other reviewers about the art being "stolen" are puzzling as the types of items offered are sold routinely by first nations owners.

Owner told native woman "If you want your artifacts so bad, buy them." Disgrace, you don't deserve to do this work.
