Worked with Reid Handley on a multiple project job, outstanding customer service, clear and concise communication and no games with endless upselling. Had a bow thruster installed and bottom paint work corrected that had failed from a yard in Bellingham, work was done to a very high standard and on time. For those of us in the USA there is the additional benefit of the exchange rate being very favorable and no tax!!!!!

Can’t tell you about their good workmanship or friendly staff. Why?because they prefer to Ghost you rather than tell you your job is to small. I think that is the reason anyway, several weeks ago I rang to try and get our new to us 43ft sail yacht antifouled and thru hulls done. Spoke to them and they said, send through the survey and we will get back to you next week. I rang and left message in the middle of that week but no response and never got a response. It wasted my time waiting when I thought we were moving forward. I get that everyone is busy in the industry but so are your customers. I simple phone call to say the job is to small for you is all it takes, simple communication saves everybody’s time.

Made a complete refit +20 yrs ago of s/y Tintagel. Aluminium hull and still absolutely 0 corrosion.

Philbrook's is very easy to work with. Dan and Eric are awesome and ensure your taken care of to the highest degree. I will not hesitate to recommend this boatyard to everyone I know. Everyone is so hard working all the while ensuring superior customer service.

This is a review for Philbrook's Metal Fabrication Shop
(2079 Amelia Ave, Sidney, BC V8L 3Z8)
I'm sure the rest of the operation is great, I just dealt with the fab shop.
After shopping around quite a bit and getting crazy quotes and timelines for a job, these folks did it immediately for *way* less than the others and did a bang-up job.
A get-'er-done attitude coupled with effortless skill and experience. What a relief!
Highly recommended!
