Upon entry to St. Francis we were welcomed from the window. We we're given a tour, and praying for Moms retirement. We are as a family, going for lunch tomorrow. The hospitality and introduction to independent retirement with luxury and nostalgia, warm meals and a family table environment, is quite desirous. Mom is safely dreaming of city excitement close to her grandchildren, and the museum where the mammoth has been spotted. I am very sure the gardening committee will vote yes for raspberry plants.

I am very happy my mother is staying at Saint Francis Manor. The staff is so friendly and welcoming. They always invite me to stay for a delicious meal. I recommend this place for anybody looking for help with cooking, cleaning, care and much more.

On Friday, Oct 21st at 1:15pm I witnessed the owner/manager of the manor (older white male) verbally berating a woman of color in the corner of Dallas and Cambridge St. This went on for several minutes so I intervened (I was walking my dog) and reminded the man of the inappropriateness of his behavior. He eventually left and the woman broke down into tears - she shared that she believed her mother was being taken advantage of at the manor and was at a loss for what to do. Regardless of the reasons or background story, it strikes me that this man’s abusive behavior (yelling loud enough for me to hear him at the dog park and for long enough for me to assess and walk across the street) is never appropriate but especially when managing the vulnerable. If you agree, you may wish to reconsider working with this place of business.
