The staff members are very welcoming. I usually come here for my household needs, and my child enjoys playing with the washing machines because he loves watching things spin (he’s on the spectrum).

I've had a great experience at Home Depot Saanich! They have a wide selection of tools, equipment, and gardening items, making it a one-stop shop for all my DIY needs. The advisors are incredibly patient and helpful, always ready to assist with any questions I have. The store is conveniently accessible by bus and has a spacious parking area. One of the highlights is their monthly free workshop for kids, which my children absolutely love. It's a fantastic opportunity for them to learn how to use tools and build things with their hands. This not only improves their proficiency but also boosts their self-confidence. Overall, Home Depot Saanich is a wonderful place for both shopping and learning experiences.

Bought a dishwasher that came with delivery service. Appliances told me the date it would be delivered and that I would receive a phone call that morning to arrange a delivery time. Never got a call and customer service tells me that "it can be delivered between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m." and they aren't able to contact the drivers. So I ask "am I expected to wait for twelve hours on a weekday for them to show up?" and customer service tells me, "pretty much". First time buying anything major from Home Depot. Also the last time. It's funny too, because I plan on spending tens of thousands of dollars over the next couple years on various home improvement jobs. If this is the level of service I should expect from these big corporations, they should expect me to spend my money elsewhere.

Poor Customer Service. I understand that this is a big box store with very limited staffing but this branch is unbelievably bad with its service levels. So very often you cannot find a staff person to help you and when they do show up, they lack the knowledge you would expect in a hardware store. I hope that the top management reads this and makes some changes.

Self checkout only, does not work for everyone. Specifically the handycaped confined to a wheelchair and where the barcode on the item is missing or unreadable. I was in recently with a handycaped person that I was helping replace his hot water tank. Arivving at the check out he was unable to start the transaction as the main screen is out of reach from a wheelchair. Fortunately a helpful staff member came to assist to limited success as although the heater box had 3 or more barcodes none would scan. So we bring out our phones to find the product online and after some back and forth find a code to scan. I have no idea how a customer is expected to this on their own?? Maybe they just don't pay? Although a person in a wheelchair can stretch to their limit to insert a credit card into the POS machine they are unable to see/read the upward pointed screen to continue to make payment. The all self checkout is a fail. Home Depo should be embarrassed as the could do much better.
