I've had a great experience at Home Depot Saanich! They have a wide selection of tools, equipment, and gardening items, making it a one-stop shop for all my DIY needs. The advisors are incredibly patient and helpful, always ready to assist with any questions I have. The store is conveniently accessible by bus and has a spacious parking area. One of the highlights is their monthly free workshop for kids, which my children absolutely love. It's a fantastic opportunity for them to learn how to use tools and build things with their hands. This not only improves their proficiency but also boosts their self-confidence. Overall, Home Depot Saanich is a wonderful place for both shopping and learning experiences.
I have been coming to this location for years and the regular staff has been consistently excellent. Unfortunately my experience with Christopher at customer service yesterday was less than subpar. I’m sorry he felt the need to call his customer stupid to his coworker while I was still within earshot after a polite interaction at the return desk. (Sorry Chris, next time I’ll be sure to swipe the card correctly the first time!) Behaviour like this sticks out like a sore thumb at an otherwise professional and well run establishment. 5 stars for the rest of the staff, I think Chris would do well to follow their example.
I have been a regular shopper at this Home Depot for a very long time. I expect the usual rollercoaster of service and product interactions but when I purchased five windows and a door in early 2024 I was assured they met rebate criteria - Of course BC changed the criteria by the time I submitted. I tried speaking to someone in the windows department for a few weeks and finally decided to go in person. What a pleasant surprise. The manager was gracious and understanding and we were able to fix the situation. I was ready to do battle and left the store with a smile on my face. Loyalty was recognized and rewarded. Thank you.
I ordered a product that had to be shipped to the store. They gave an estimate of 10 days. They didn’t even order it for 11 days. My order now says 3 weeks instead of the 10 days. Still hasn’t arrived. How can an estimate date be valid if the company won’t even order it until after they said it will be delivered. Scam. I would have gone with another business.
Chris H in appliances was so helpful. Took the time to suggest many options to my partner and I. We were shopping around at many appliance stores and never got this level of service. We will definitely be buying everything we need from this location.
