This is a fabulous building in a great downtown Victoria location on the Inner Harbour. The interior is spotless with many amenities. Those who run it are extremely competent and caring. They go out of their way to help the residents.
The James is a wonderful place to live at. The management is very proactive in addressing the concerns. The amenities (swimming pool, fitness room etc) are great. The neighborhood makes it one of the best places to live in Victoria- proximity to beautiful inner harbor, parliament building, fisherman's wharf and Ogden point. The Legislature Terminal and Capital City Bus Station are just a pleasant walk away- easy to catch direct buses to anywhere in Victoria, ferry terminals, Vancouver Island etc. Overall, a very beautiful and clean place to call a home :)
I'm very happy - not only with my lovely apartment, but also with the whole experience of moving in. My rental agent was patient, kind and helpful in leading me through the whole process. The apartment itself - being only a few years old - is clean and well cared-for and maintained. The building location and ample gracious amenities speak for themselves, but what I immediately noticed was that - not once but several times - residents expressed to me that they'd never before lived in a place where the management staff were so friendly and helpful. This has been true for me as well, and Heather, Winnie and Romaine - and George and Matt in maintenance - always seem pleasant and ready, able and willing to help! I'd like to thank them for helping to make The James such a lovely place to live. I'm proud to call it my home.
We are just moving to The James, but we're already in love with it and its amazing property management staff. The rental process was straightforward and smooth, the team is very professional and responsive, we were receiving all answers to our questions in minutes. The apartments are very modern and in superb condition. Can't wait to join the community!
I have loved living at The James. The amazing management cares about the building’s community and residents. The building is beautiful and so is every apartment and all the amenities. The location is conveniently close to downtown yet still quiet and safe. Walls are thick as the building was previously a hotel, I never heard a neighbour. The building is secure and security is taken seriously. A great place to live. (Especially if you like dogs!)
