I visited Toys “R” Us on January 9th to shop for toys for my son and niece, spending nearly an hour carefully selecting a cart full of toys. The store had a sign advertising a “Buy 1 Get 1 Free” offer on clearance items. Before heading to checkout, I confirmed the promotion with the cashier, who assured me it was indeed valid. I was excited about the deal, but when it was time to pay, the cashier suddenly informed me that the offer had ended the day before.
This was disappointing, as I had specifically asked about the promotion beforehand. Unfortunately, no solution was offered by either the cashier or the manager. When I decided to purchase non-clearance items instead, I noticed they were incorrectly priced, and once again, the cashier made no effort to resolve the issue. The manager never returned to assist either.
This experience fell far below my expectations. Clear communication and proper pricing are essential in retail, and I hope the store addresses these issues to avoid similar situations in the future.

went in today to check out the full store and was disappointed by the prices - the prices for most things are WAAAY above MSRP. Do not buy toys here, you're way over paying. For example, Ninja Turtle Pizza Van at Walmart and Amazon is $65 while Uptown Toys R Us is $75. That's the situation for every item I looked at. I don't understand the mark up. The Toys R Us in Nanaimo is not like this. It's a shame, I was looking forward to shopping here.

I recently visited the store to set up our baby registry and to purchase some new furniture for the nursery.
We couldn't have asked for better Customer Service. Gurpreet was very knowledgeable, kind, resourceful and helpful in every aspect. It was a pleasure working with her and I feel great about all the purchases we made.

My experience at the Mayfair toys r us was very nice last weekend. I came looking for a gift for my granddaughter and a very nice young lady was so helpful. I found everything I was looking for and more. Kassidy was her name I believe she is very good at her job, showing me where everything was, also gave me gift ideas. She has a very welcoming smile, you can tell she is very passionate about her job. It was a very lovely and welcoming and pleasant experience with her and the rest of the staff.

I went into the store looking for supplies for our upcoming newborn baby. I was a little confused, looking for a specific item I couldn't find. Very quickly, I was helped by employee Gurpreet, a member of staff associated with the baby area and baby registries. She helped me find exactly what I was looking for. She also showed me a few other items I didn't realize were in the store. And she helped me sign up for a baby registry. She was incredibly helpful and friendly. Her warm demeanor made my experience in the store very positive.
