The staff at Victoria Place truly cared about my friend who was a very challenging resident. The premises are clean and attractive. I witnessed a number of nice touches, such as holiday decorations, good-quality live musicians playing in the lobby, and weekly visits by friendly dogs. The staff do their utmost and come to work with a smile.

Under poor management residents and staff complained to corporate numerous times before filing complaints with the state licensing board. Residents were humiliated by Executive Director at facility who had been fired from other local facilities. They were also threatened with eviction if they complained and openly harrassed in front of other staff and residents.. Corporate did nothing to support staff in allegations until the licensure board became unvilved and issued fines and threatened closure. This was 2015/16. New management improved conditions and harassment has diacontinued. Corporate level does little to improve ratings, focusing instead on revenue. Nurse was non-existent 50% of scheduled available time and crossed the line into illegal non-action at times when epidemic if scabies was not reported until it reaches extreme levels and SLB intervened. Staff was told to silence any new outbreaks and keep it from residents until then and new cases were misdiagnosed until it could no longer be ignored. This did improve greatly when a new nurse was hired but not when staff complained only when SLB intervened. Recreation was adequate but funding limited activities. Bus was only available periodically as activities leader was driver and has to cancel activities when a resident had a doctor appt.in order to drive them. Food was substandard until New chef was hired and improved after that. Residents and loved ones are enxouaged to report unresolved incidents to star ombudsman who is required to reply infractions to SLB. Best advice for friends and family of residents, be vigilant especially when residents complain.

I don't even want to say what goes on in there. The staff are uneducated, rude, and so much more. The management seems to not care about anything that goes on around there, especially they don't care about their staff and how hard they work.
