We popped into the uptown office today and had a positive experience with Belvadeer. She was knowledgeable about insurance products and was able to help us get the type of insurance that best fits our situation. She was friendly and we enjoyed our conversation with her :)

This service seemed fine at first. However, they changed their system which wasn’t communicated effectively and ended up meaning that my insurance was cancelled without my knowledge. Normally, they would automatically renew my insurance and take auto-payments but something about their new system meant they couldn’t technically auto-renew. Something confusing happened where I ended up owing them money and they started sending me emails telling me I owe them money. When I responded asking what I owe money for, they just responded saying I owe money and that they already told me what for (which clearly, they didn’t do a great job of communicating). So, of course I thought it was a scam.
Finally, the manager called me and explained the situation to me (after over 2 months of all this starting). So, I kind of understand why I owe the money but as for the system change, as a customer, it isn’t my responsibility to stay on top of your policies or systems. It’s on the business to communicate that effectively. Especially if they want to keep customers.
Neither the person who kept emailing me for money nor the manager apologized for any of it.
If you’re going to take the time to email me and say you already told me, then why not take the same amount of time and just tell me what the money is for? It’s childish and petty and makes me worry what it would be like dealing with them if I ever needed to.
I’d stay away.
